Weekend in review...

sublimatedangel Mike's birthday on Saturday. That went really well... got to see Bob and Melanie's house for the first time. I am in lust with the fact that Melanie's room has wallpaper, borders, curtains, bedlinens, pillows, room dividers, etc etc etc that are all in the same pattern! It was really lovely and I am just amazed at how diverse and popular this one particular rose/floral graphic is.
Anyhow, pleasant time chatting with Mike and Chris (who we haven't seen in a while... 6 months+) as well as a bevy of charming new acquaintances of the family friend variety. Bad jokes and worse jokes ensued. I was highly amused for the most part. After the rest of the guests left, Mike, Chris, Nate, and I returned to chez Moore for barbequeing and other goodness. Made drinks and played cards. I am still amazed I had to *teach* someone near my age how to play war. I thought that was just universal. The kitties did not care for the doggie, and the doggie did not care for being outside, so Mike dropped him off at home at some point and then returned. Made breakfast for my beautiful boyguests this morning and then cleaned a bit whilst they had network gaming fun. Hot today, ugh. Hated to miss sewing circle but I just needed to get things done before the house descended completely into chaos.
Later got a bit of reading in and then picked up a couple things for my special someone's birthday package after the guests had gone. Still need one particular item that is not crucial but would really like, and have one more item to make, but hopefully it will be finished tomorrow night so I can pack it all up and have it sent on Tuesday. Also had dinner and chatter with Jay since we were over that way. And I got the little notebooks I've been wanting! One is glittery.... I am easily pleased. Soon I will become a little list making fiendie!
Also, the number of people I know who have bettas keeps going up... this makes me smile! I was so socially outcast growing up that anytime people get into and enjoy stuff that I like, it surprises me. In a happy way. Heh, I just like to share the things I love with the people I love.
Anyhow, think I shall have another go at sleeping after I catch up on my comics. Goodnight and sweet dreamings to all those who read my entries.
