sublimatedangel | No update in nearly a week, but I'm still here....

...Just busy...

In reverse...
Today I am prepping for the carpet which should be installed tomorrow... no, really this time. Cleared out the aquarium cabinet and the aquarium (plant, decorative rock things, gravel, etc) and am draining the water now. Also changed the water in the temporary tanks and removed a few misc things... still alot to move out of the computer room though, and haven't started on the bedroom. Nate's going to bring Jay over after work and we're going to try to get it done. Might call Jennifer to help too, if she is willing. Not really sure how long it will take us, but more people generally equals faster.

Weekend:
Saturday I was up bright and early to go capture the glory that is Pirates of Emerson on parade. Met alot of people, tried to stay out of the way / help while they were getting ready. Mostly did videography since the few people that gave me cameras took them back except for Jennifer. Got a few shots of her that will hopefully be nice. Not sure how well the video will come out... not used to running about backwards and forwards in the midst of a parade with a strange camcorder... they should be able to use at least *some* of it though.
After parade (which we/they got 2nd place in!) we went back for lunch and socializing and then Jennifer dropped me back home to get ready for the party.
Housewarming went really well, I think. Not quite what I expected, but everyone seemed to have a good time and that's the important thing. Besides, I monopolized half the party in my bedroom, that's got to be a good sign, right?

I really liked having people over. Maybe next month I will see if the Changeling group would like to hold it here one Friday.

Yesterday was very much a veg day. Had breakfast with Katlyn and John before they headed over to Rois's place, lazed about talking with Nate and Jay. Finally about 2:00 we did some constructive stuff for the kitties. I planned out the kitty tree I wanted to build, compromised with what Nate wanted, got the supplies and got to building. It is mostly completed at this point, mostly thanks to Nate & Jay since they are better at sawing and stuff. We just need to put the little walls on the edges of the platforms and then cover it.

Okee, time to get back to work...
