sublimatedangel | More fish goodness!

Snipped for those of you that are tired of hearing about it already....

So, we went to the fishie store today. Needed some stuff (like new fish for our desperately lonely barb who is all healthy) so after Jay & Nate did stuff to the Bronco, we headed out. We got some lovely fake plants, a little hideaway area for the fish, some pretty rocks, a piece of driftwood, and various salts and chemicals and tests and other stuff... Can't introduce new fish yet so we will make a separate trip for them, but I did get a betta! Yay betta goodness. He is gorgeous, mostly red, with a hint of the irridescent blue on his body. Responds to the mirror like magic. *sigh* Wish I had my camera already! Oh yeah, also got the aquarium stand so we can have the tank in the computer room instead of the kitchen blocking the dining room.

So brought home our spoils, cleaned out the computer room boxes, and got the cabinet in. The tank is now burbling behind me with it's new filter and everything is installed except the driftwood (needs to soak for a few days) and the fish (tank needs to acclimate for a few days). It's soooo pretty, yes it is.... Will post pictures sooooooon... if I don't find my camera, I'll borrow mom's at this point.

Still to come: Getting about six new barbs, one or two female bettas, two kuhlii loaches and a couple of algae eaters... I'm thinking probably a snail for Icthulu's side and a new pleco or oto or something for the community side. Pleco's are nice but they can get so big... Once they all adjust, we may get more fish if the tank will support them... we shall see!

That's about it... rest of weekend passed with shopping and hanging out with Jay, playing dumb games, working on Nate's truck, and general weekend stuffs.
