Heh, well I managed once again to do almost nothing constructive with my day. Went to Mom's and met her guest/slave-labor/boyfriend prospect Stan. Nice guy. Wonder if he's a good guy or if there's something wrong with him that wasn't apparent yet.

Anyway, got lots of tips from her and ended up calling my Aunt Peggy about the acoustic ceiling in the living room. Have decided to tear the thing down. Heh, Nate thinks I am insane and planning way too much work - maybe I am. I just want things done right and done nice. So, I will tear down the ceiling and then my Uncle Alvin will come do *fabulous* things to my ceiling. I wonder if I should go see him and decide on what I/we want done. (The living room is mine to design and decide, but I like Nate's opinions on stuff). Probably a good plan.

We took one of the cushion covers down to the paint store and got lovely coordinating paints. They are now in my mom's garage. I still need to get sponge for the texturing, but so far we are doing all right as far as purchasing what we need. No house keys yet, so probably we won't get them til next weekend. That's okay.

Wednesday 10:00 am (for my reference) I meet up with the realtor and the flooring people for measurements so they can give us a quote. I also plan to measure the living room wall too, so we know how much mirror tile we'll need. Wheee. It's been a long day, so my excitement doesn't show, but I am excited.

Anyway, back to today... took Jay home and dropped paint off, played a game of Egyptian Solitaire and then came home. Have not done any cleaning (and don't feel like doing it now, honestly) and have not done any packing either. I feel like finishing off my book, so I think I'm going to go flop across the bed and do just that.

I want more of my hanging lanterns. Specifically the peach ones we saw at Illuminations the other night. I want tons of other stuff ::sigh:: I am being good and not spending money on "extra" stuff though. Just the basics we need for the house before we move in. Maybe after we move in and everything, they will be on clearance so I'll get them cheaper :)
