Update for Thursday....
Feb. 21st, 2002 10:28 pmNate worked from home today. This is always wonderful, but it is hard to convince myself to get up and out of bed when he is there to snuggle with. Eventually got up and out of the house in time, etc, but parking sucked because I usually get there a little earlier.
So I was 5 or 10 min late to Photography class. Not a big deal because the teacher never showed up. Most of the class left after half-hour (we only need to wait 15 minutes before class is considered "cancelled") but about 5 of us stayed - because we had a class afterwards, so it wasn't like we could go home, and sitting in a desk in a classroom beats sitting in a hallway waiting. So we had chit-chat... it was a fairly mixed group, but all girls. Discussed quite a bit. I feel like such a social person.
Then on to Psychology. Have I mentioned I love that instructor? She is really funny and I like her teaching style and like her personally as well. And the class is always quite fun, the other students are great. And we are her favorite class as well :) Test is next Tuesday and I expect to do fairly well, especially with her very loose testing style.
Had lunch at Jay's as usual, and came back to park in a much more typical space. On to Anthro, which went fairly well although some of the people make class a bit difficult. The teacher is a little tricky to get the hang of, but I mostly like her too. Heehee. She amuses me but not very much of the class gets her sense of humor. Of course, this could be because I grew up with Team Evil Member One. Anyway, discussion was interesting as always, and I think I have a feel for what answers she is looking for. Actually, I think she's highly open-minded about the answers, but you'd damn well better know what you're talking about and have strong, solid statements/arguments to support your position. Which I can do. Test next Thursday, I expect to do pretty good on it, but I'm not sure.
Home from school, Mike was over which was kind of cool but didn't get to see him for long as we had a meeting with Nadim (the realtor person). Looked at a house in Fremont we are making an offer on tomorrow, and a couple of condo's that are not what we are looking for. There is one other condo we want to look at and a few houses in San Leandro, in case we do not get the Fremont one. We will be doing that Saturday morning.
Tomorrow I will clean clean clean and cut out some skirt fabric and perhaps sew skirts. Eek, zippers. Woohoo, pleats. Not as sexy as Rois's zippered corset, but it's hard to compete with something like that. I think they will still be *rather* cute. And we've been having sunny weather, woot! Maybe I will get to actually wear them.
I know, I know, I should work on the corset. However, I'm not sure if I should just tear it apart now and use spiral steels instead... in retrospect, it seems like the obvious boning choice. Le sigh. I must ponder this. After all, it's not like finishing projects is a priority for me. *snicker* No no no, *starting* projects, that is the important part.
