sublimatedangel1. My mom. This one is probably pretty obvious. Mostly I think about the bits I know of her early life, and all the pieces that I don't know.
2. Old friends. I've said before that I've never really learned the knack of falling out of love. If I've cared about someone, I carry them in my heart forever. There are a lot of people who I've been out of contact with for years, but they still come to mind quite often - reminisces of who we were, wondering where they are now, that sort of thing.
3. Craft/sewing projects. My creativity is boundless and my productivity is terrible, so I'm constantly in a state of imagination and design. I've mostly trained myself not to start all the projects I want to do, in spite of my deepfelt confidence that, "I could do that! All I'd need to do is...."
4. Reminders to have patience. I can't count the number of times people thought I'd make an excellent parent, and mostly I think I do okay by my kids. But man, they suck patience like a flock of patience-sucking things. In no way do I ever lose sight of how much I love them and how precious they are to me, but sometimes I'd happily take a mute button option for them :)
5. Wondering where something is. Seriously, I must be the clumsiest and least aware person on the planet somedays. It's a good thing I don't wear glasses yet, or I'd constantly misplace them (sometimes on my face, bien sur). It doesn't help that Ryan loves to steal things and carry them off, but if I'm honest, it's mostly me :P
6. What people think of me. Sorry to keep harping on this theme, though.
7. How awesome people are. I know, I know, humanity is frequently horrible. But for the most part, I'm dazzled by the beautiful multitude of souls around me, the ones I barely know and the ones I've held beside me, the incredible things we do and see and make during the time we have. Really, guys, you're just so cool that I don't know if I'm allowed to sit at your lunch table. Thanks for being such an inspiration and entertainment all rolled up together.
