fabric cravings

Alas, I have discovered that Ambiance Bemberg is *NOT* the same as the Bemberg my skirt is made from. I have determined that I just need to drag the skirt into a fabric store and beg and plead until they agree to order millions of colors in it. So I am sad that I haven't found where to get it after all, but happy the place lost my order and I didn't buy the wrong stuff. But I must must must have more of this. In fact, I need to just mend my skirt so I can wear it and get my fix. And I will make a fabric store near me carry it if I have to take over the world to do so! And since they are custom ordering it for me (when not if) maybe maybe maybe they can get it in a custom length so the sheets won't be such a pain... I won't hold my breath on that one though. Okay, enough silkiness fiending...

Oh, it's not what it looks like, it's what it feels like... It's like a very heavy very soft silk... although I do like the way it hangs/folds too, it's the feel that I'm addicted to. I really want sheets out of it, as well as a pair of black pants with very loose flowing lines. From what I'm able to gather, it's some sort of rayon product... I think. The only thing I've found is this Ambiance Bemberg stuff which is not at all the same material. I'll have to bring/wear this skirt... maybe one of you gorgeous seamstress types will know where to find it.
