sublimatedangelFeels like we're in holiday season already. I'm sure this means I'll be slightly more disorganized than usual (scary thought!), but in a festive way!
Spent Friday over at my mom's as my Uncle Bobby and his sons are down from Portland. A good - if slightly zany - time was had as Alex got to know the "new" relatives and we all got caught up with each other. Her boyfriend Daniel and Jay & Morgan joined us in the evening and my mom took us all to Dave and Buster's, which was awesome of her and lots of fun, as always. Just, you know, a little overstimulating for Alex, and we were there late, so he was a cranky kitten by the time Nate took him home. I stayed just a little bit longer and came home with happy little prizes for the boy (including a kazoo... what was I thinking?) But yays, overall a still good day.
Yesterday we picked up our featherbed and down comforter from the cleaners and reinstated the BED OF DOOOOOOM for the winter, and it's possibly even more decadent and yummy than I'd remembered. Hee, it's so high and fluffy! Even Alex agreed that something that soft was meant to be frolicked on. I suspect he isn't thrilled to be sleeping in his comparitively boring crib. We also did shopping and laundry and other little things.
Today! Up at this insane hour of the morning since 1) my poor Nate has to do some work from home this morning, and could use the company and 2) the wee one had woken me up not long before and I hadn't been able to fall back asleep by the time Nate's alarm went off. Actually, at the time of writing, Nate has finished his bit and so both my boys are sleeping again, and it's just me. :P

Date: 2006-11-12 10:46 pm (UTC)Yay tree dressing party! That sounds like so much fun. Nate and I decided we're going to get a live tree this year, which I'm excited about. OSH had some pretty ones when we were there. I want to go get it NOW but I'm trying to be patient and wait a few more weeks.
I will know probably Monday if Nate can go to the zoo or if it will be just us. Did you recieve my email at the other address? If so, I will continue to use it for contacting you.
