Yes, yes, an actual update later. Life's been good but crazy. But the
katlyn requested birthday pics, and birthday pics she shall have!
Just a few random Alex pictures to start with....

Playing in a paper bag.... He really likes climbing in/out/through things, and will pull up the sides of the bag and duck his head to play peek-a-boo.

Presents!

Yeah, you might be sensing a theme. He is pretty into the Thomas train stuff. You can see we've still got a lot of gifts to go, and Nate's stepmother Karen, my mom, and me are in this one too. Please ignore non-photogenic-ness of the grown-ups.

This is a little talking/musical school set, with little people and stuff...

This is the gigantic wooden train table my insane mother got him! It's actually really nice, and he loves it like crazy. For now it's just out in the living room until we can figure out where to put it permanently. He's got a bunch of train engines and cars and well, all kinds of stuff. Construction/deconstruction/"accidental" train collisions happen frequently.

And this is a little pull along doggy that his great-grandma (Nate's Oma) got him. It makes little squeaky "barks" as it rolls along. Alex plays with it occasionally, but usually ignores it. However, if someone else plays with it, he gets very possessive and is quick to take it away.

Cake!

Yeah, my mom hadn't really intended to go blonde, so kindly ignore the hair...

And Nate, cause you probably miss seeing him too....

And another random day of Alex, wearing his cowboy hat (He likes to wear hats, but only for about 5 seconds at a time)
