sublimatedangel | Stuff I didn't write about yesterday...

Alex had a checkup today. He is wonderfully healthy and all that good stuff, right on track with where he should be, blah blah. I was worried he might get cranky since the appointment was right around naptime, but he did beautifully.

I just read 100 Strokes of the Brush Before Bed ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0802117813/sr=8-4/qid=1142381342/ref=sr_1_4/104-7168650-7003908?%5Fencoding=UTF8 ). Ahh, the rare reading of an actual book! Quite the novelty these days. I kinda liked it but wouldn't put it out as a general recommendation, more specialized.

I have a mouse-pen pen-mouse thingie! Whee! I expect great things from it. Playing around with it for a few seconds in photoshop tells me that it's not instantly in tune with my will, but I haven't had time to play with it in the bundled software or see if there's a tutorial sort of thing. I really love to tweak things digitally, but it's hard to draw with a mouse, and scanned images have unintended visual depth from the media which I don't actually want, so hopefully this will lead to much happy art goodness. It's my tax-return money indulgence.

I've completely neglected to mention all my lovely Protonix monster drug rep goodies! On Valentine's day my mom gave me a happy round tin and a bunch of bookmark/paperclip things, but recently she gave me a mousepad/calendar thing. And it's different! My creepy little guy is laying down on a happy creepy crescent moon, just like my icon but with lunar goodness. And little shiny stars. I ADORES IT! Awww, he's just so cute! It makes me wish I needed medication. Well, not really, but if I did? I would so choose their brand! Mmmm, marketing... Alas, my kitchen mat is so abused/cleaned/abused that you can barely see him anymore. Still, I hold onto it with my packratty claws and refuse to give it up unless I get a new one.

I want to wear my new dress for the party on Saturday, but I also want to wear it for actual St Patrick's day on Friday :( And I'm not sure what the crazy weather is going to be like. I will wear it though, and there will be pictures of matching Amy & Alexander cuteness, and I don't care if it snows. Also, I still haven't decided what to make for dinner.
