Hmmm. Writing in the journal.

Nate and Alex went down to visit his grandma in the hospital yesterday. I had planned to use the time to write, but my mom came by and was even more insane than usual. It was nice to see her even if she was in a klepto mood and kept trying to find things she could take home. I think I did well limiting the damage, and the protonix mug (see monster in icon) is still mine! She also agreed to watch Alex for all the evenings we'd wanted, which is peachy. After she left, I was completely out of a writing mood, so I had myself a little Scrubs marathon instead and remembered why I liked it. (And you know, I did laundry and stuff too.) After we went to bed, I regaled Nate with funny bits of it until we were a mass of giggles.

The first round of daffodils are in bloom. Since the weather is iffy, I brought them inside to enjoy. They're lovely, but I'm impatient for the freesias which are lovely also and smell like nirvana as well. Must be patient. Also put down a bunch of sweetpea seeds along the fence, and flung about the california poppy and lupine seeds. Worry I might have gone too late on those, but time will tell. Yay flowers.

Baby slept in until almost nine today, which is crazy kinds of fabulous. He's up to eleven teeth now, three of which are new molars still coming in and causing ouchies. Not sure if the fourth of the set is imminent or not. His newest word is "up" which gets lotsssss of use. Need to give him his first haircut soon, which makes me all sappy. And he'll have his 18 month checkup at the end of this month.
