Actual update...

We had a pretty good holiday. Unfortunately, we've all got a bit of a cold. (Laura's sister was just getting over it at the ornament exchange, and managed to pass it along to my mom, who passed it to us.) So because of that, I didn't get quite as much baking and shopping and such done as I would have liked to the week before Christmas. I did manage to get the matching pajama bottoms done for the three of us to wear to bed xmas eve. Christmas morning was lots of fun, Alex helped open almost all of his gifts. Then we headed over to my mom's for dinner, and just an incredibly huge slew of gifts. My mom had worked graveyard xmas eve, so the rest of us kind of fiddled dinner together and it turned out lovely if a bit haphazard. Yay!
Boxing day we went to Nate's dad's place for xmas and Mick's bday. We'd thought Chris, Laura, Helena, and Oma would also be there, but apparently not, so that was a little disappointing. We also haven't seen Bob and Melanie this year. Tuesday, Jay and Morgan came over, and they and Nate and Alex headed up to go play in the snow. I decided not to aggravate the cold and stayed home to rest instead. Oh, and Morgan invited me to see Brokeback Mountain with her... yay! I'd been thinking I'd have to see it alone or maybe drag Miss Stasha. Heh, I always get a bit of that "What? The cool kids want me to sit at their lunch table?" feeling over stuff like this. So that was happy. Nate and I did go see the Narnia movie while my mom was watching the boy, and that was nice... we don't go to the movies much. Liked it overall although there were things that I thought could be better. Alexander's been having a hard go of it being sick. He's pretty good during the day, if a bit fussier than usual, but has a very hard time at night - I suspect the congestion and malaise is what's interfering with his sleep. We've finally just let him come sleep in our bed as that's how he gets the best rest (though still not great) until he's feeling better. And I think that's all the updating for now.
