Just a very busy month. Alexander was having a run of nights where he was pretty fussy, but I think we're maybe through them and back to normal. He's still a lovey perfect boy during the day :) So let's see, what have I been doing?

Saturday was the FIL's birthday. Over we went and it was a really nice family gathering. Karl & Karen, Cassie & Mick, Bob & Melanie, Oma... I think that's it? Lots of noise and being passed around, but Alex was his mellow self and took it all in stride, and even settled in for a teeny nap during dinner (he'll rarely sleep when not at home). After dinner, Cassie and Mick and we put the baby in his ergo carrier and walked around the neighborhood looking at the christmas lights. It was a wonderful time, though I wish I could've also been at [livejournal.com profile] horrorvenus's candle making party.

Sunday we had made lots of plans which were all cancelled when we found out (on Saturday) that it was time for the Littlefield clan ornament exchange. My mom, Jay, and Morgan all came over to our place first, and then we caravanned (sp?) down to my Aunt Donna's place for the festivities. Tons of people and not enough room, tiny dogs running about, and the other two babies of the family, Lilly and Justice. More of the noise and baby-musical-chairs, once again zee bebe was fabulously well behaved. I am so super lucky blessed with him, he just is the easiest and happiest baby ever ::loves::: Anyhow, much chaos and joy, including the snatching up of the coveted grandma ornament (to Donna's dismay BWAHAHA), the cutting edge in prison DIY gifts (Harley Davidson sculptures/models made from soap and tighly rolled newspaper, carefully covered in cigarette pack foil), bonus gifts for attendees and babies, and just the general mayhem that is that side of my family.

Monday, Nate and I went to spend some time with the [livejournal.com profile] katlyn who is dealing with quite a lot at the moment and definitely deserved some Amy-Alex-Nate time/love. Always good to see her and I think she was glad we came.

Tuesday, sewing goodness with [livejournal.com profile] missmorte. First the fabric store, where we found a very Stasha pattern and managed to procure most-but-not-all of what we needed to make it. Then lunch, cutting out of pattern, Target for a few semi-essentials but really to meet the boy, and most of the cutting out of fabric, and sewing, and pizza and sewing and meeting of Neighbor Steve Who Looks Good in Hats and snooping about his apartment and sewing and Feeding the Insatiable Baby and sewing. Happy with progress and had a wonderful day. Headache and lack of interfacing curtailed our efforts, but the dress is looking really nice so far.

Today? Attacking the behemoth laundry montster (which may require holy water or Excalibur to vanquish at this point), dishes, visit from Mike to discuss plans for World Domin.... errr, looking at xmas lights, bills, and maybe we'll get our tree tonight. I really need to touch up my hair as my gorgeous ruby red has faded, and someday I will get my xmas cards out at a decent date, but probably not this year.
