Catching up...
Jan. 7th, 2007 11:01 pmYeah, I've been kind of quiet lately, and a lot has happened. Let me try to wrap it all up...
Day-after-Christmas: Spent this with Nate's family. I hate to be grinchy, but most of the gifts from them this year were very strange... like the kind of thing where you want to tilt your head at them and ask "Do you even KNOW us?" but of course, you're polite and don't do that, because it would just cause major family drama. So... lots of stuff that we didn't need. I *did* get a little hand/wand style blender which was on my list, so that was happy. And spending time with them was good. Alex fell asleep just as we arrived, so he got to open up his gifts later than the rest of us, and he did okay. Crazy blood sugar and timing made dinner a little odd for me, but I was pleased that Karen had gone to the trouble of making me a diabetic friendly dessert (It was also Mick's bday, so most people were having cake).
