Things have been good. Our little holiday thing on Saturday went well. It was nice to spend time with friends, and actually, I've really been liking how much I've gotten to see Jay this month. I've completely lost track of one brother, I'd like to keep in contact with this one, even if he does have one of those crazy job things these days. Anyhow, it seemed like people had a good time. Then Sunday was the Littlefield clan thing. Yay we weren't late! The food was kinda meh but that's because I'm picky and I knew it would be going into it. People were entirely too well behaved! Come on, now, this is my family! It just goes to show that our parties shouldn't be held in public places. But there was some juicy gossip, and my mom wasn't so late that she missed it entirely, and Alex got some ADORABLE clothes as Grandma Gifts, and the MacDonells had just gotten back from Hawaii, so there was yummy chocolate macadamia goodness handed out, and for the first time ever, ALL of the ornaments we ended up with were perfect and lovely and look great on my tree (which is back to it's red/burgundy/white/gold incarnation this year. Oh, and we have a new angel. Did I already talk about that?). Oh, and Alex got a cute little toy ark too. I love it and am filled with smugness and my husband puts up with me anyway. Yes he does. And Alex was a sweetheart and played with Melissa's little boy Justice, and was a little devil and kept trying to escape to run rampant through the rest of the restaurant. Oh! Oh! And I did something crazy and volunteered to host next year's gathering!! Eeee for the chance to be an uberhostess and the madness that is letting these people actually know where I live. I know! It should be something. But that is next year. Somehow I also managed to fit in a bit of Christmas shopping and a whole lot of lazy selfish relaxing. And some sewing. And wrapping. And xmas cards.

Anyhow! Tomorrow I get to go play at my mom's. We'll be doing our first annual Christmas Kahlua thing. Yiss! Because the Mother's Day option seems to have been abandoned, and really, no year is complete unless you make bootleg booze with your mother, right? She's off until Christmas Eve (she volunteered to take the Christmas Eve graveyard shift - she's insane but an absolute doll, I hope her coworkers appreciate her) so there will be much baking and such. I think I want to try to make liquer filled chocolates this year. I'm sure Michaels would have molds. Also thinking about taking something yummy in to Nate's work, maybe next week. Alas, no holiday party, so I'll just have to visit his coworkers while they're working.

Baby is down for his nap, but I've forgotten what else I planned to write about. ::sprinkles friendslist with holiday cheer and baby smiles::
