(no subject)

Well I began the cherry blossom embroidery square last night very late. Have not actually gotten very far, but I can tell already that an embroidery hoop is in order. The satin has alot of umm... bend to it? Like the mesh easily goes from little squares to little extreme parallelagrams. Erm, if that makes sense to others, good. Anyhow, I need to either hunt up one of my old ones, or buy a new one. The actual embroider is... a bit tedious and uncooperative. However, I'm hoping by the time I finish this square, I will have the hang of it. It also might help if I move up to more than one strand of the floss, but we will see.

Xmas presents....

I think I'm going to make little sachets for all the girls on my xmas list. They should be easy, elegant, & fun... I need to go pick out some potpourri and maybe also some lace. I have plenty of fabric and stuffing. *sigh* I wish boys were this easy to make stuff for. Don't have a clue what to get them and noone has sent me a wishlist yet. Maybe I ought to start giving away some of the Mother's Day Kahlua at Xmastime. Or learn to make something else. I wonder if it would be hard to make a candy cane liquer? Heeheeheee (mad scientist giggle) Maybe I should experiment! After the holiday though, I don't think I should blow up my kitchen right before I have people over for Thanksgiving dinner.
