Last night we went down to Modesto. Had dinner with Karl & Cassie and then Nate spent a little time setting up a new computer for his dad. The Wyatts (Nate's oldest sister and family) were flying in to Sacramento... flight was due in at 11pm but ran a little late. I read some (Reader's Digest Condensed) Sherlock Holmes while he went to pick them up, and watched old 50's game shows. It was probably 4am by the time we got back home. Sleepy bunnies, oh yes.

Slept in til 11am. Not as much sleep as we should have gotten, but you know how it goes... after awhile more sleep is bad too, and just throws off everything else. Today has been kind of mellow because of it. Woke up to find that the cardinal fish had been eaten. Sucky. I think we've decided to give up on the cardinals even though they're pretty. Bah, I hope this entry makes some kind of sense - that's it for me kiddies. Be good.

It makes fine sense. And cool on Sherlock Holmes! I read the stories at some point back in the early 90's I think, and they were okay but didn't thrill me a lot. I much prefer the old, old black & white movies starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. In my opinion (and many others) they ARE the quintessential Holmes & Watson. What's got you reading Sherlock Holmes?
