Feb. 25th, 2004 11:49 amUpdating a bit before I forget everything....
Friday, dr's appointment and then had lunch with Nate and a few of his coworkers at Denny's. That was pretty entertaining and I think they all liked me - a little weird to be the only girl at the table. Then Nate got to come home early which was extra super.
Saturday we got to spend some time with my mom. That was really great for me, I miss her alot these days. Saturday night, we went to see Starlight Express in San Jose, which was really amazing. I wasn't sure since I hadn't heard of it before, but it was a fabulous performance, very fun and full of energy. I liked all but a couple of the songs, the costumes were tres nifty, and it was just a really really good time. We need to do more stuff like this, I always forget how much I like it.
Sunday... I don't remember much of Sunday. Played Puzzle Pirates and Nate had to work a little in the evening... forget anything else.
Monday, the school stuff which I've already updated. Tuesday, had lunch with Jennifer which was nice. I need to work on being a better social person, it just feels like I'm always busy. Friends are too important not to make time for though, and it was great to see her and catch up a bit. Also, Miss Arwen got taken in and fixed. Poor babydoll. She came home a bit groggy but not too bad, and seems to be dealing okay. Sam doesn't recognize her smell and hisses at her and runs away. Frodo is freaked out in general but doesn't seem weirded out by her. She doesn't like taking her medicine but has to. She gets to stay shut in the computer room mostly, the cats aren't allowed unsupervised time with her until she gets healed up. She's allowed a little food today which she was very happy about. Much on the howling winds and rain today - the power has flickered off a few times but only for a second. I am missing class right now, which is less than keen, but I lost track of time. And to be honest, I am not too sad about not getting to drive in this lovely weather.
Last night we also got to have impromptu plans... Beth and Glen are down visiting from Canada and wanted to see us. Mike and Shannon and Chris all tagged along and we went for Mexican at Casa Orozco, which was delish as always but began with the waitress spilling drinks on Beth - luckily no harm done but still, not the greatest of omens. All went well after that though and had a fairly restful night since we don't have yowling-in-heat kitty anymore. And um, I think that's everything, although I'd meant to have a better review and more detail on stuff.
