(This is mostly a Jeff post.)
Have you heard this? It makes me think of you every time I hear it. I really like it - the feel of time in it, and the overall pattern of life, like a quilt... everyone filled with different fabrics and colors, but all the same pattern too... if that makes sense. And it makes me think of the people that come into our lives... the difference in ages meaning we came into each other's lives at different moments... but at just the right time all the same. And it makes me think of all the years behind us and ahead of us.
100 Years - Five for Fighting
I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you’re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you’re on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Date: 2004-01-25 07:56 pm (UTC)That song I e-mailed you about ("When I Look To The Sky" by Train, for you non-Amy types) and also this part of "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down make me think of you!
"I'm here without you baby but you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby but you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight it's only you and me"
All in all, though, I think the Train song is just too perfect. :) ...and let me note, it also makes me think of Nate, too. Don't know what I'd do without either of you. :))
