weekend stuffs....

Well lets see. Not a thorough update because my energy is low, but something.

Yesterday we went to see katlyn and John, which is always nice. We got her new fishtank set up a bit and swung by the local good pet place to look at fishies and pick up a few essentials. We managed to fit everything for the 72 gallon bowfront tank into the Explorer, so we now have a new fishtank! Yay! Dinner at a yummy seafood/italian place. Sorry for sucky update, I'm sure there's much more I'm forgetting to mention - but it was a good time.

Today we... let's see. Well, we rearranged the living room. For the first time since we moved in, I think I'm happy with it. Even with the additional fishtank, it feels like we have much more room, and the loveseat and couch are now together in a good way for conversation and such. Must take pics of it once everything is in place.

New tank is beginning to be set up, although it will be happening slowly. The tank is in place and I've got the sand in, with a little saltwater. Before we finish filling it, we need to put together the sump/refugium. Alot of what we did today was just cleaning stuff up and identifying pieces to get ready for final assembly. It doesn't look pretty at all yet, but it has fabulous potential, and I just can't thank Kat & John enough for passing it all along to us... it's going to be alot of fun to set up, and very pretty when it's all done.

We also got rid of the in-wall mailbox... it's more of an annoyance than a convenience (at least with our postal delivery person) and we wanted to get rid of it for several reasons. So, removed it and then headed to Home Depot to get a new regular exterior mailbox and related supplies. Hole in wall is all patched up (interior will need to be painted) and the new box is set up on it's post and ready to accept mail. Yay! I quite like it. And it's been awhile since we have done any home changes/improvements - we did alot of stuff today, and I'm happy with how all of it turned out. Happy, but tired.

Goodness, you guys have been a little busy :) And yet another aquarium??? Wow! Remind me that's a topic I want to chat with you about. Not that I've any inclination to take on a saltwater tank, but I'm very interested in how it's coming for you and what it's been like and what's been involved.

Time for me to update about my weekend, too! :)

Another aquarium, yes, but we take them down too... right now we have one in the computer room (freshwater) and the clownfish tank in the living room. So really we'll only have three tanks going unless you count my bettas, in which case four. We do need to have a good long chat soon, and I would be more than happy to talk about fishies!
