Whee new fish!
Did not find the loaches we were hunting for, so we brought home some new guppies. Hopefully the new four will hang out with the two we had left, and they'll be less cranky. After the tank acclimates, we still need a couple snail-eating loaches and a few more swordtails to fill it out. Ohhhh and I also got a new betta. He is a pretty little boy... youngish and you can really see the difference in size between him and my other two. He is lovely shades of sky blue and cobalt, mostly, with some lovely yellow as well. Usually I don't go as much for the garish multicolor, but he's just so pretty :) He's got the hospital tank all to himself for now... once I know he's staying healthy I'll put one of the other dividers into the tank on my desk, and he can see his roommates.
In other news, it's not hot anymore but it's still humid. It could be worse of course, but it still makes me feel sticky and yucky. Oh and...
SEWING GIRLS: Anyone know how to or have a pattern for making a bustle? Or a good link? For my autumn faerie piece, I'm really wanting to have the sheer overlay long enough for a train, but able to be bustled up into that lovely rumpleness when I want it out of the way. I think if I could just see a basic idea of how it's done, or a finished piece even, I could figure it out.

Date: 2003-08-01 03:51 pm (UTC)I'm not planning on anything near that size though... closer to this one: http://www.devotioncorsets.co.uk/bridal27.htm
(although I wasn't thinking I'd need quite as many poofs as they've got in that one, it's the general size I've got in mind)
