Sunday before Armageddon...

Started getting stuff ready for Christmas... got the boxes out of the shed and mostly dealt with, also did a bit of running around to the mall and such for last-minute essentials. Got the outside lights set up, including a pretty little star we made right quick from some of the fallen trellis wood. Looks really lovely at night, simple but pretty.

Looked at the clock and saw most of the afternoon had gone - got a call from Stasha confirming traffic was just as hideous on that side of the bay as it was here, so had Nate find out the predictions and called Rois to let her know I was running late and traffic probably would mean later still, and she said not to worry about coming, so didn't get any sewing done. Bit concerned about the no-sewing post she made afterwards, leads me to believe it wasn't as okay as she said it was. Still, maybe it's for the best - the new place has never been as good for sewing because of the small space, bad light, and no seating... and we've all been pretty busy lately with other things, doing something every week is pretty difficult. Not to mention it'll be nice to only have to drive across the bridge for gaming instead of gaming & sewing... I love you people but I wish we lived closer together! Anyway, that is that.

Got a lot done on this year's crafty thing for the friends, I hope people like them as much as last year's angels. They are *almost* done. I think they're cute...

Nate's dad & everyone fly in tomorrow... I am heading into finals soon and just can't miss any classes, so I won't be able to go with Nate to the airport and such. Wish I could. Karl's birthday is on Wednesday, and I'm sure we'll be visiting him then. Uncle Eddie is flying in to help out for a while, and hasn't seen the house, so I'll be neatening up before class tomorrow - mostly hiding away the xmas-gifts-in-progress, that.

Only 8:30 and I feel like it's way past my bedtime... the weekends always kick my butt and this one was especially full - wouldn't change a moment but I need some down-time.

Actually, that post was made about 5 minutes before you called. *grin*

I'm just tired of feeling like I have to turn down invites to things I'd like to do (SCA household stuff, random other-friend-group get-together's, etc.) because they're on Sundays. Especially since everyone is busy with the holidays and other commitments.

So yes, it IS ok, and I'm glad you called, but the post was not a reaction to the call (I sorta wondered if you'd called because of the post, but you didn't mention it, so I didn't think so.)

I still have to trek to Joanne's to get soap. I'm not going to bring bathbomb stuff unless people specifially want it (that way, I don't have to carry it.. I'm getting so lazy! *grin*)

Aha! That makes much more sense then, I guess I should have looked closer at the timestamp! You mean things don't start from the moment I pay attention to them? Okay, I feel better, but still wish I'd called sooner.

Since I'm making lots, I got some of my own citric acid so I wouldn't be using up all of yours - I just mostly want you to bring your fragrances :) and I have some you can use too, if you like them.
