Okay, I'm not going to try to catch up on everything that's been going on, but I feel more myself than I was. But here's a little bit of today:

Cut cuz it's longish and such.

Picked up Jay in the early afternoon and headed on out to see Cassie and borrow the chainsaw. I also snagged a bundle (as in a large cylinder shaped gather bound by a rubber band) of big ziplock baggies since we are out at home. Cassie was home (yay!) and was in a good mood (yay!). I love her when she's normal and I love her when she's not but oooh when she's not, she's a royal pain to deal with. So it was wonderful to catch up with her and she's still happily dating someone which I think is just doing fantastic things for her. I got some rose cuttings to try and root (two deep dark red with thorns that wanted my blood, two longstemmed yellow and one white... enough to try for now, if I'm successful I'll snag more) and Nate hacked down alot of the wysteria that was climbing over the roof with the intent of swallowing the house whole. Jay shucked it into the greenbin and all was happy. Then Nate invited her to dinner at our house which was peachy keen except the house wasn't really company-presentable and we didn't have anything prepped for dinner. But that's alright. We got down the last of the Leaning Tree of Evergreenity with the chainsaw and some rope, all that's left is the stump. Dull chainsaw chain. Always is, everytime we borrow it we end up buying a new one for it. Told Nate we need to just buy one and keep it for our use. So when we get the new chain, we can hack up the trunk to fireplace sizes to begin seasoning and Nate will also chop up the junipers that I really don't like so that we can have a happy little kitchen garden there instead. Yay Nate! I may also let him take out the wysteria we have.... it's just always been a bit sickly and pitiful looking, refuses to bloom or even have pretty greenery, and while I love wysteria I'm not sure that I'll want it there when we redo the yard. So I may just let him chop it up and then once other things are redone, I'll plant a seedling from Karl's lush wykudzusteria.

Anyway, we ended up going out for dinner which was kind of a relief for me - I'm not great with entertaining on the spur of the moment; I love people but I have expectations of myself even if other people don't, and I hate to feel like a bad hostess. Then we played Life and had coffee back at our place with a lovely crackling fire. Said fire meant I needed to stay at home while people were ferried back to their beds though, so I watched Interview with a Vampire and now am just awaiting my very own sexy longhaired lover to come home and tuck us into bed.
