Well, ladies and gentlemen, I've baked my first *real* cheesecake. I think it turned out alright, but can't say for sure without eating it. My goodness though, I'm having a hard time resisting food, and I've only finished the cheesecake and the soup. I feel like the witch in the gingerbread house: 'Must not eat house... must wait for little children to come.... must... not... eat... house....' Prep is done for the stuffed potato skins (well I had to do *something* with them) so all I have to do is pop them in the oven...

Had to be away from the kitchen long enough for the temptation to wear off. Then I'll get everything else prepped so all I have to do is pop things in the oven. Nate gets to come home early today (yay!) so he and I can get things set up pretty hopefully.

A couples dinner party requires *real* cheesecake... no mix and no store-bought = I am the uberhostess! Heehee, besides, I've had a springform pan for ages and never used it... it was way overdue :) Yummmm pumpkin cheesecake (shaped like a heart) I think it is going to be yummy! It is Emeril's recipe :)
