Apr. 12th, 2002 09:00 pmOhboyfriday....
This has been a busy week. So I have been quiet, but trying to keep up with everyone's email/LJ stuff. Sometimes I panic that people will think I don't care just because I don't comment, but it's really not that, it's just that by the time I get done *reading* everything, I'm so overwhelmed that I just can't think of what to say.
Anyway, today I mostly stayed off the computer and read to calm down from school/etc. busyness. My new Stephen King book is yummy. I think I'm starting to enjoy short stories more than novels.
We might get the keys to the house this weekend. There is still a bit of paperwork to be finished up next week before it's officially ours, but still. On Wednesday we are having the lovely people from A&R Carpets out to measure for the new flooring. Nate and I decided on a peaceful solution to the living room wall that I didn't know what to do with. Yay Nate, he is so good! So, everything looks happy in that direction. It is going to be crazy trying to get all my final projects for school done while we are moving, but I think I can do it. Counting down to the frenzy....
Social life is I think the best it's ever been in my life. Happy, but scary too. Not used to having so many friends and I worry that I will accidentally neglect someone, especially with how busy I'm going to get in the next few weeks. So, let me just say that I love all you special happy people, and if things get crazy I might disappear but it's only temporary. Okee, so that's official....
I can't think if there was anything else I meant to say - so that's all for now.

Date: 2002-04-12 09:01 pm (UTC)They understand that having finals in school while closing on the purchase of your first house and moving into said house will take up alot of your time. Real friends will give you the space to do all that in and not get all huffy about not seeing you and feeling neglected. Instead, they will offer to help you in any way they can. When do you want me to show up with Mom's truck and do you need some models for photographs?

Date: 2002-04-12 09:52 pm (UTC)As to moving! Heh, all I can say is "not yet". Before we move furniture in, we are going to paint and get the flooring done (much easier if the rooms are empty). I will know more towards the end of the week (I will know when we get the keys and when the people can do the floors) so I will update you then...
As to models - yes! I would like to resubmit my "portraits" assignment since I only got a C on it (it's the one where my first roll of film wasn't wound right) and so I could definitely use the practice, plus give me pictures of people to put in my picture frames :) The question is when?
