Sounds like the house is getting in the final stages of things. Exciting! Baseboards really do add so much to a room. Most of the rooms in my house have them. There's a couple that don't but that's because those walls are made of wood, not sheetrock, so it would look... strange. I wish my parents could get some more work done to update our house because it's fairly old, but we're very short on money right now so it will have to wait *sigh*
It will be lots of fun when everything comes together completely. You'll have to celebrate or something :)

And I'm very very glad to hear your mom is doing better. I was so worried for you, her, and the family. It's great that her and Alex can start spending time together again, and that she can start living an almost normal life. I'll keep her in my prayers that she continues to do well :)
