10 things that made me happy recently...

1. Yum, hot water. Yes, this is an entirely ordinary thing, but I think it should be celebrated in spite of/*because* of its very ordinariness. There are not words to describe how much I love hot water.
2. My Valentines getaway with Nate. ::is composed entirely of sap:: Other than the kabillion romantic aspects, the bed and breakfast we stayed at was up for sale. I don't happen to have an extra million dollars, but I do like to dream about running one of my own someday, so that was fun.
3. Yosemite trip very recently mentioned in journal. Happy in a serene, fulfilling kind of way.
4. Talking to mymoon_heart. It's been a heartbreaking time since the fire took so much, but even over just the last few days, he's doing so much better, and things are... not good, but under control? And speaking to him, always wonderful, is even more meaningful because I know he's got so much going on and yet he still makes the time to connect with us, because doing that helps. And that makes me something beyond happy.
5. The school district finally got back to me about starting Alex's speech therapy; I hadn't realized it would take her so long, but it's done, and he starts this Friday.
6. Making new friends. Some will just be casual friendships, but it's still squee-worthy that people like me... I always forget the good things about myself that are emphasized in the just-getting-to-know-you part of learning someone. And some, I think, will be longlasting friendships which means this time is even more enjoyable and rewarding.
7. Little baby turtle swimming around in his tank... new pet at my mom's, and today was the first chance I had to check him out. So cuuuuute.
8. Ha, incredibly dorky, but both my characters on Puzzle Pirates are on the list of Most Awesome Sailors. Amy really likes being (among) the best at stuff sometimes.
9. Rewatching season one of Bones. I'd forgotten how much I loved it.
10. All the daffodils appearing everywhere I look.
