sublimatedangelSo, yes. Very much with the lack of updates these days. Feeling out of touch with lots of people I care a lot about. Well, some highlights....
We took a long weekend and went camping. Yay for camping. Alexander took to it really well and was a beautifully well-behaved boy. Jay and Morgan also came with us, my mom joined us for two days/one night and Karl & Karen came by to visit on Saturday. Water was way too cold, but it wasn't too hot, so I suppose that balances.
Our fruitless mulberry tree in the front yard has had issues, and we knew it would need to be taken out in the next few years. Got back from camping to find that it had taken it upon itself to help us out (read: toppled toward the house by wind or something). Luckily, it didn't break the window or anything, and we had planned a day home for unpacking and such, so it did work out okay. So uh, one less project in the future. Eventually we'll probably pick out something to plant there... we like to replace trees if we get rid of them. But no rush.
Nate and Jay took out the deteriorating decking supports/roof the other weekend. It makes the backyard look a lot bigger/better without it, so I'm not sure if we'll replace or leave as is. The actual decking itself still need to be pulled, but one step at a time.
Foo. Out of time already. Well, a little is better than nothing I suppose. Take care.
