My LJ friends list often has pictures of smiling babies from the August 2004 baby community. So we'll be scrolling along and come across a picture and Xander will break into a huge grin to smile back at the other baby on the screen.

Yup, babies like to look at big pictures of other babies.
Once upon a time, there was a popular video of nothing but close up baby faces. Also is the explination of the sun baby on Teletubbies.
