It's a strange holiday season. I'm having a hard time getting motivated or excited, and haven't been getting much done. Signs point towards depression, but I have no idea what I'd be depressed about - and I'm good at hiding that kind of thing from myself. Who knows? Perhaps part of it is that a number of people I care a lot about are going through quite a bit right now, and I feel helpless and torn. And I'm sure feeling prettier would help. ::sigh:: Yeah, not usually this mopey, but I'm hoping writing it down will help me figure it out.

Let's see... on happier notes. Tomorrow night we are getting together with Mike and Shannon to walk around Crippsmas Place (a semi-local neighborhood - all the residents have beautiful huge Christmas displays every year and raise money for a charity, I forget which one). On Monday, I get to see two of my lovely and talented sewing girls during the day, and then my mom will be babysitting le petit while Nate and I go out to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (tickets courtesy of a very good friend). I'm looking forward to and fearing time away from the baby - he's been pretty needful lately and I'm not sure how he's going to do.

1) Be sure post-partum depression isn't toying with you. You should be sure to let your doctor know about this, just in case.

Hopes you get to go to the concert. Alexander will be fine. ;-) Mommies need some adult time too. It may do wonders for the spirit too. *hugsssss* You're a beautiful woman, never doubt that. I agree with the person who mentioned the post-pardum (sp?). I had it longer after having this last one. Just think of all who love you...your hubby, your baby, your family, your friends. *heart heart*
