1. Spend a lot of time with me. Familiarity rarely leads to contempt for me; the more I get to know someone, the more I discover within them which I delight in and adore. My failed suitors were generally guys who wanted to date me right away. I'm one of those girls where it's better to be my friend first.
2. Be silly. I want someone who doesn't take themselves or the world too seriously, who is willing to look dumb and make terrible puns and make me laugh until I can't help crying.
3. Communicate. I'm really bad at guessing games. If something is wrong, tell me. If something is right, tell me. Enjoy talking to me about everything under the sun, because you value my insights and reactions.
4. Love me. Maybe it's selfish, but I usually don't give my heart away until I know the other person is capable of appreciating it. Knowing that someone cares about me makes it a lot easier for me to trust them, and trust is an important part of falling in love.
5. Compliment me. This goes a bit hand-in-hand with the last two, but is more than that. As I've mentioned, I don't have a lot of self assurance. I need to hear what you like about me, and it can't be the same practiced line over and over, it needs to be genuine and different things all the time. I don't need you to be blind to my faults, but I need to know that you see me and appreciate me in all my many facets.
