Oct. 4th, 2007 01:58 pmYes, I'm still switching to IJ, but I need to figure out a client for it. Because my laziness exceeds my morals, apparently :P
Yesterday was our anniversary - yay, being in love with my Nate! It's not a big one, but still... makes me all happy and loved feeling. As the ninth year is pottery and/or willow (whaaaat?), I got some very pretty dishes with a botanical/nature theme. I love pretty dishes. It's all Mrs. Leslay's fault.
Today Alex had his annual checkup. Since his language skills are still a bit behind his peers, the pediatrician gave me some information on speech therapists, which should help. He's also all vaccinated and legal for day care/preschool now; I'm home with him and we don't plan to change that anytime soon, but we've thought that it might be nice for him to go in for a half-day or two, just for the experience and socialization and such. Spending more time around kids his age may help with the talking, too.
We have two pretty adorable foster kitties right now. Ben is the littlest, and is just super pretty, all long fluffy pale creamsickle with vivid burnt orange eyes... he's incredibly striking, but a bit shy. He and Alex get along great, as Alex loves to drag things around and let the kitty chase/pounce on them. The other kitty is Mouse, a grey and white one almost old enough to be called a cat. He's very long and elegant in stature and loves on you like you would not believe. He loves giving hugs and kisses and is more social with people than with the other cats.
Frodo and Arwen are less happy with the situation than they have been in times past, and I'm not quite sure why. Much hissing and growling, especially from Frodo who is even being mean to Arwen. I think they're adjusting, but it's probably a good thing that these are foster kitties and not permanent additions.
Brief post considering how long between updates I go, but at least it's something, eh?
