Brief update...
Dec. 21st, 2006 02:43 pmYeah, that diabetes thing? Looks like it's type 2 instead of gestational, so I'll likely be stuck with it for life/quite a while (at least until I can get my weight down to something reasonable, and then I'll still have to watch myself carefully). Still, there are much worse things to be diagnosed with, so I'm trying not to let it get me down. Yay insulin and all the sugar-free/low-carb products available today.
In other health news, I might have thyroid issues too. Tests were contradictory, and I appear okay now, but my doctor is going to keep sending me back to retest just in case. Which really is a good thing, but I hate all these appointments. Donations of time and/or energy would be gratefully appreciated; send them directly to my severely depleted accounts. kthx.
I have been letting stress get to me (bad) and have had the accompany-ing stress headache for the last couple days. If all goes according to pattern, it should be gone tomorrow sometime. Still have not sent Christmas cards and am considering just giving up and not sending them this year. If I start now, maybe they'll be out at a reasonable time for next year. Ha, who am I kidding? Anyhow, Alex is a complete doll and I love him to death, and he does help a lot. Kids are so much fun at Christmas. And several of our friends are expecting, so that's very happy too. And my Frodo-kitty loves on me like crazy, like a loving bundle of warm purring loyal fuzz... with inch long razor sharp claws. I should clip those, really. He has the longest sharpest claws of any cat I've ever had. He makes kitten claws look safe in comparison.
This post is probably sounding fairly negative - sorry about that, y0. All is not gloom and doom, I'm just venting about the yuck.
