Whee!

Printing and packing and such, and then we are to drop off Alex and head to Vegas! :::excitement::: Have been looking forward to this so very muchly, and there promises to be much fun and entertainment and perhaps a wee little bit of debauchment :) Have FUN everyone, because I will be!

We're here!!

Drive went very well... we made good time and I finally had a chance to read Song of Susannah, so peaceful and enjoyable. Hotel was easy to find (in spite of wacky misdirections that yahoo maps tacked on to the end - we just ignored them) - self parking since valet was full, and it was a wee bit of a walk to get over to the hotel, but nothing insane. Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and lovely - check in was quick and efficient - the concierge-person won't be in any tourism commercials, but she knew her job. The MGM lion is everywhere, making me smile, and the room itself is all retro-hollywood glamour and opulence. We let the concierge know that Stasha and Lee were staying here as well, and we have the room right next door, and the option of opening the adjoining doors for even more mischief and fun. Poor Lee, I don't think he quite knows what to make of us yet... apparently my lack of shyness extends to meeting the new beau :) What can I say? Stasha brings out my inner extrovert something fierce.

We're heading out to dinner in just a bit, and then later the wonderfulness that is Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity! Very very excited. Las Vegas has been lots of fun already, all pretty lights and colors and over-the-top grandeur, and I have no reason to think that it's going to be much more of the same for the rest of our visit. And tomorrow I'll be getting to meet the very charming and talented xanfan27 which has me excited but nervous. And we'll be doing lots of other fun stuff too! Eee, I'm just all giddy and chatty, but I suppose there's not much more to be said?
