Welcome to summer...

Oh, the joys of blackouts. I'd forgotten about those, but of course the very high temperatures mean everyone running their A/C and the resultant power failures. Must remember to be more energy conscious, esp in the evenings when the general public are at home.

Other than that, it was a pretty good day. My mom and Miss Morgan came by and we all went out to Shadow Cliffs, which is a nearby water park kind of thing. They have a side with waterslides and that sort of stuff, but we were over in the lake/beach/picnic part with Alex. It was fairly crowded, not a surprise given the weather and the fact that school's out, but it was nice. Alex was a little freaked out by all the splashing noisy people and stuck super close to Mama, but he seemed to be having a good time as long as he had a good hold on me. Couldn't stay too long as Morgan had to get to work, but it was fun.

This weekend, spending time with my dad on the houseboat. Many of the other guests (like the ex, Janell) will be gone, so it shouldn't be too drama-drama. Should still be... interesting. Will report back on Monday I'm sure.
