We had breakfast together at Peet's coffee yesterday, which was nice. Mmm, vaguely coffee-flavored sugar. It's the best. Alexander seemed to sense something was up and spent lots of time cuddling with Nate. His suspicions were confirmed when we left the airport without daddy, and he made sad whimpery noises. He almost fell asleep in the car when we were almost home... it was so early that I kept him awake. In retrospect, I should have let him sleep - he wouldn't nap at all yesterday. He ended up going to bed at 8, which is a little early for him, to make up for it. Nate called to connect with me and give me his hotel info and tell me he loved me. I went to bed and tried to stop missing him so I could go to sleep.
Alex slept pretty well, but he's had several meltdowns this morning (unusual... possibly missing daddy, possibly something else). Right now he seems to be doing okay again. ::hopes it lasts:: So, I've mostly been doing things with him. I've also planted a little bit (we got seeds!) and have been pleasantly distracted by new fanfiction. So far, we're doing pretty okay. I need to go to the store (out of milk) but really just want to stay inside. It's gray and wet and yucky out today.
Oh, and we got a new fish for the big saltwater tank. He's pretty. Also, I've fallen in deep deep like with this chocolate tea that Trader Joe's has. It's so yummy. And I think that's it for this update.
