Well, let's see. Halloween was okay. Pictures are still on the camera waiting to be downloaded. They will be posted, I promise. Alex was adorable in his devil costume. I went with generic witchiness and my fuzzy orange and black stripey socks, and Nate was a wizard (Middle earth variety, I sewed up a quick grey robe). Potluck halloween party at Nate's work - I took in the delicious vegetarian lasagne that we love (and can't have). Had a good time chatting with the people I know a bit, and admiring the costumes. I have such respect for men that will dress in drag for Halloween, seriously, bonus points. One other little boy showed up at the end of the party, very adorable Woody (from Toy Story) costume, but he was super super shy. So anyway, kind of fun. After I left, one of Nate's coworkers told him I was hot, which was kind of "yay! compliment!", but a couple days later he was fired for looking at porn at work so, ya know, now I don't know how to feel about it. Anyhow, after Nate got off work, we went over to my mom's so she could see the baby. Morgan and Jay were also there hanging out and passing out candy to the few people that showed up. Morgan's sisters showed up in pretty awesome costumes, esp Amy's dolly dress. And that was pretty much that. Sigh, so tame. I want friends who throw Halloween parties, I seriously miss having something fun to do.

moon_heart, he's been pretty MIA for a while now. South Beach diet thing is going alright... as predicted, the beginning was easy and it's getting a little more challenging now, but we're almost through phase 1, so might get easier soon. Nate's doing rather well on it. Too soon to say for me, not sure if it's really working for me or not. Giving it a bit more time to get a better picture, but I may switch over to the diabetic diet I was on at the end of my pregnancy if South Beach doesn't seem to be doing anything. Still pretty compatible with the limiting of sugar/carbs, so it shouldn't screw Nate over, and it might work better for me. But, a few more weeks before I make that decision.
Alexander is with Grandma today, and we're doing house-y stuff (exterior paint). Mike and Shannon are supposed to be coming by tomorrow to visit/help. I'm kinda enh on that but hoping I'll be more excited to see them when they're actually here. I do want to do something fun/relaxing this weekend too, but alas, no ideas. At least I'll be able to get some rest tonight. The little one is waking up constantly lately, and so I'm pretty consistently exhausted, but making the best of the energy I do have. Okay, I think that's all my news.
