Little bit of scribble...
Jul. 5th, 2005 02:58 pmIn my world lately -
Nate's been working on getting the new windows in, and is just rocking at it and getting them knocked out one by one. I've been an eensy bit of help, but mostly it's been him. Only drawback is the state of the house during construction, but we won't dwell on that... I think it'll quickly be back to clean once the project is done.
Think Alexander has an ear infection - we'll be seeing the doc tomorrow morning.
Fourth of July was pleasant, in an odd way that I'm not sure how to describe. The little one wasn't thrilled with the firework shrieks and booms, but did pretty well with it, and did like some of the smoky and sparkly things.
Birthday coming up later this month. I think I'm going to skip hosting a party. I'd love to see people but I'm feeling more like one-on-one attention than a mass gathering. And besides, the boy's first birthday is next month and I need to save up my uber-hostess points for that shindig.
Having learned my lesson about trying to plant anything during the heat of the summer, I'm channeling all my plant energy into houseplants and they're doing well! Houseplants are always a challenge for me for some reason, so I'm pleased to see things living instead of dying.
