Social butterfly
Feb. 26th, 2005 09:02 pmAfter a lengthy sojourn, I am jumping back into social circles, and it feels really good to be back. I know so many gorgeous, creative, fun people, and didn't realize how very much I missed their influence.
Friday night was dinner at Amira over in the city. Talk of having a monthly dinner-with-the-girls, which is sounding delightful... this month's also coincided with Stasha's birthday. Much fun was had...
missmorte, of course, her date, her friend
maxmin, me,
roisnoir, and
horrorvenus. Pretty bellydancing, with a few instances of fellow diners (who knew what they were doing) going up to join on the stage, yummy food, and wine sweetened with rose syrup. Num!

Today,
katlyn came up, and she, Nate, Alexander, and I headed out for a nice easy hike at Mt. Diablo. Nothing too strenuous, but it was nice to be out and about, enjoying the signs of spring. Picnic after the hike - Katlyn is, as always, a picture-perfect hostess with really yummy food and an adorable array of matching picnicware. Had to cut things a little short due to Nate getting a work call (boo!) but it was still a lovely day.
Kat and I were talking about how much fun it would be to have a formalish tea party in the spring/early summer at her place. Jennifer and I were talking about Halloween, talking Rois into having another fabulous event for her bday (I'd be able to go this year!), and other such things. So, many wonderful potential things on the horizon to look forward to, and there is also the monthly dinner thing, sewing get togethers, random visiting... I am a happy girl.
