(no subject)

Had a lazy morning with my sweetie. My dad swung by just as we were getting ready to go to breakfast/lunch, so we all headed out to IHOP, and then he and Nate spent the afternoon getting the heating stuff finished up. It hasn't really been cold yet, but fall weather is coming, and it's nice to have that taken care of. One less thing to worry about, you know? Anyhow, my mom came over to watch Alexander while we went out to dinner.... first time leaving him with anyone, which tugged a bit at my heart, but he/they did really well. Dinner was really lovely... Left Bank was just as charming as I remembered, the food was wonderful, and it was really nice having some time with Nate where we could give each other our undivided attention. We were gone about three hours, which I think was just about perfect for Alex and Grandma. I did get a bit weepy at the end of the night (damn hormones) and Alex was a little sick (I think he overate and/or ate too quickly - his first time with a bottle) but it was still a really nice evening.
