(no subject)

I feel like I've driven a ton lately. I don't think it's true, but it feels that way. I feel a little brain dead at the thought of any more freeway driving in the near future.

Mmmmm air conditioning. In spite of it being pretty hot today, Nate has been getting the new fence up with some help from the guys. So far, so good. Not going to get a chance to do anything hot tub related today I'm pretty sure, but that can wait.

I've made babyfever but wish it was a closed community rather than a user... wonder how I do that? Because I'd like for me and Nate to be able to post in it without logging out and such. Anyhow, add it if you want to hear about it, and I'll keep the baby stuff to a minimum in this one.

I didn't mention, but we got some more live rock for the saltwater tank... Thursday I think. The shipment came in on Wednesday so it was still pretty fresh and much better than the "old" rock I've been seeing in the fish shops. Yay! So we definitely have at least some critters... saw a bristleworm, which lives in the sand and helps with cleanup, and there are a few little tubes and holes in the rock that send out feelers - may be fan worms, or feather dusters, or something else. And the rock has pretty colors growing on it... we'll see what survives our light source. Still, it's exciting to have something to watch, and I'm eager to start adding little shrimps and starfishes and such. Our skimmer is supposed to come on Monday, which will help with water quality as the tank finishes cycling.
