a wee little update...

Had dinner tonight with Mike & Shannon - checked out the new Rattlesnake Bar & Grill that opened up down the street. Overall the food was enjoyable but nothing spactular, the decor was nice but perhaps a little empty/stark? I'm hoping they have more things planned. After dinner we played a game of Life (whee! I won!) over coffee and then root beer floats. Yumm...

Nate got called into work shortly after we finished the game... no rest for the weary. He'll likely be gone for most of tonight, then back in tomorrow without much rest, and in on Saturday too. :( Poor bunnikins.

Did a bit of sewing earlier and finished up my burgandy and forest green renaissance skirts. (For those just tuning in, they had previously been one reversible skirt, but it proved too heavy and bulky, so I took em apart and turned them into separate skirts.) Also started a gown in the gorgeous vibrant blue/indigo satin I got awhile back. Pattern was made up from a gown I have, and just waiting to be cut out. I have a pretty blue/silver shimmery transparent ribbon to edge with, but right in the midst of seams I remembered we were having guests, and decided to put away the material, etc, strewn throughout the house instead of finishing it. Probably tomorrow.
