No update in many days...
This is finals week for my mythology class. In spite of yowling mischievous cats and my severe lack of technical knowledge, I managed to finish my video and get it onto VHS format (well yeah, Nate talked me through it, but still!). So today, I get to make thirty or so people watch poorly narrated scenes* of construction paper egyptians** engaging in homosexual incest and then arguing in front of all their friends about which one is the butch partner***.

I love college.

* I was happy to get the thing done. Trying for crystal clear nicely flowing narrative between paper doll animation and editing out the cat's meows for attention is too much to ask.

** I could have probably made NICE looking egyptian drawings and done it like that, sans limited animation, and it would have probably been easier. I'm going for the charm factor.

*** Because of course, sexual relations between yourself and your nephew/uncle are fine, just so long as you're on top. The submissive partner is the only one shamed and ridiculed.

Time for breakfast.

Should be back to my normal posting self in short order! Class went fabulously and I got several compliments on my hippopotami! And yes, I heard the word "charming" confirming my suspicions that construction paper is both a cheap and endearing medium to work in.

Came home to Great Things in the mail... one of them is bday goodness for Nate, so I can't open that, but it made me smile just to see a certain special friends name on the box. :D Aaaaaand... my plumeria cutting (which a few weeks ago I was going to give up on) arrived! Fat and healthy and looking like it can't wait to get started! I am unaccountably excited, but that's how I am. So my day is going great! And will just be getting better as Nate and I have romantic candlelight, lobster, and strawberries to look forward to this evening (in celebration of his birthday) and that's just dinner. I feel like the happiest girl in the world right now, and can't wait to spend some time with my sweetheart.

This weekend was good - St. Patrick's Day goodness over chez Stasha's on Friday, a very nice, very small gathering of friends for curry and birthday celebration on Saturday, and we spent some time with Nate's dad & sister on Sunday. His dad is still making good progress and things continue to look good for the future - it's a slow process but he's doing great and I'm just really glad about that.
