Went to fabric stores. Got skirt fabrics. Got ribbon. Got zippers for skirts. Got two-piece eyelets. Got new scissors. Got thread. Got milk?

Sales are bad, naughty, corruptive influences.

Now I need to pack up my lovely sewing hoard into manageable project basis. I don't plan on doing the skirts just yet, just work on the corset. Need to finish corset! Hee... see you all in a bit :)

Got much sewing done on the corset, although I had to resort to hand-stitching the edges since I can't make nice overseams with the machine. One more little useless ability I don't possess. I shall add it to whistling and singing.

It is nearing completion. I wish I had gotten 1/4" boning instead of the 1/2" stuff. It may not shape as well as I would like. Since I may be tearing it apart and redoing it anyway, now may be a good time to mention that the velvet is doing a strange bunching thing at the side. This may be just because it's a curvy little number that is currently flat. I hope so. I'm learning that this is the most hateful period of corset-making, that of being almost-done. Now is when I have the most fears that I've somehow screwed it up, and I have no idea why or how or how it could be fixed. Anyway, hope to finish that soon so I can see if I need to tear it apart and hold little sacrificing ceremonies to win it over so it will look pretty, or if I can take photos. Hehehe... That should be fun.

Speaking of pretty clothing, Stasha gave me a whole bag of pretty things which I promptly forgot at Rois's... hopefully I can pick them up on Tuesday. I need to do up a pattern for the pleated skirt with extra length so I can whip a few of those out... if the corset is a failure, I'm going to need something I *can* do successfully to cheer me up.

Maybe I will do that tomorrow.

Nate did most of my car's brakes today (yay Nate!) and is planning on finishing them tomorrow. Then we may look at houses. But I think I will have time to sew.

We are planning on having an extended Changeling game on a Saturday sometime at my house. Yay! My house, btw, has officially been ruled girly :) I feel, strangely, happy about this, although I had no idea it was. I'm half-tempted to make pink lacy throw pillows to fling about the room, and put doilies under everything :) So anyways, that will be happening tentatively soon. Must clean bedroom so we can let people see it during "tour of where Amy lives".

Ummmm, I think that's it.... need to take the Labyrinth quiz that Katlyn put up, but there is time for that later...

Got a great deal on ribbons at the fabric store. Yay sale!!

Now.... is it me... or should the older ladies working in the fabric store *not* suggest bondage and feminization as fun things to do on a Sunday afternoon??

Heehee.... also, the day I'm getting fabric to make *skirts*, not a soul asks what I'm making. At either store. The moment I plan to make something kinky though, out come the "ohhhhh, what are you making?" questions. Heh, maybe I've just alienated them all so they quit asking :)
