Heh. So anyways...
Last night we figured out how we want to rearrange the front area (dining & living room) for Christmas and started moving stuff around. My brother will be over tonight to help Nate with some of the really heavy stuff like the armoire and to help get the Christmas boxes out of storage and into the house. I am hoping to have everything (except the tree) decorated and in place by the weekend.

We also decided to make ourselves a faux hearth... it's something we've thought about but just finally decided to do. So we got some of the supplies we'll need from the local Home Depot... I'm so excited we have one close to us now. Plans are not completely finalized yet, and we will need more stuff, but we have what we need to get started. Yay!

Nate's dad's bday is this weekend, and we may also try to get our tree I think. Which means probably no sewing circle for me :( but we shall see. Kate, a friend of ours, has gotten me interested in trying to make a gingerbread village for the holidays too - you know, in all my spare time :) Hehehe... I really need to stop getting interested in all these projects, they will be the death of me, I just know it. But they are *so* fun.

I've pretty much put all my personal projects on temporary hold - I need to make sure the Christmas ones are done by Christmastime. If they get done early, then I will work more on my stuff... otherwise they'll have to be lonely and bored until January when I have time for them.

Take the sheep test at Life & Crimes Of Scott Freeman.
Poll made by scottfreeman.

*UPDATE* Apparently, the sheep test got taken down shortly after I took it. That's why the picture isn't there and why you can't take the test... at least as of now. For the record, I was the cute sheep.

Ewwww....

So, I was thinking I should get around to tweaking my LJ since it's paid now, so I could theoretically do neat stuff to it. Well let me just say that LJ's modify style page just really sucks if you aren't html savvy. It has been a *long* time since I even knew html tags, yet alone all the new things that are out there. Maybe it's my fault for expecting it to be user friendly... but uck! It's yucky. Anyone who reads my journal - expect it to look very ugly until I figure it out.
I know there are supposed to be free/public style templates you can use to make it easier, but I have no idea where they are to be found, and the community search program being down doesn't help me find the savvy friendly helpful peoples who know how to make gorgeous journal looks.
Wah, eh? I suppose I should put shoes on and try to do something constructive today. On the up side, once I figure out how to do it, I like the pretty background I made for it...

Oh dear....

Well, I took the quiz*

If I were a James Bond villain, I would be Pussy Galore.

I enjoy flying, a good roll in the hay, and nerve gassing army bases.

I am played by Honor Blackman in Goldfinger.

Who would you be? James Bond Villain Personality Test

Soooo... I got this jury duty letter a while back. A *long* while back. And anyhow, I kept totally forgetting about it. Over and over, I'd think "you have to remember this" and then forget. Well, I thought my summons date was today. Last night, at Home Depot, I thought "you have to remember to call when you get home" and I forgot. I forgot all day today and just finally remembered tonight after dinner. Anyhow, I was stressed "what if I was supposed to go in, what if I got called & wasn't there, etc etc" but ::happyhappy:: luckily, it was not today, it is tomorrow! So I am not in contempt of court or whatever it is when you don't show up. And I called and don't have to go in the morning but have to call back tomorrow to see if they need me for the afternoon. Wheee! I'm happy. I hope I don't have to go at all, just because it is the holidays and I have so much going on. Normally I am a person that would like to be a juror - it's one of the few ways I am patriotic. I totally feel that it is my civil duty to be a juror for my peers, and am prepared to fulfill that responsibility. Mostly I just want to avoid it now because it is bad timing. I've gotten summons twice before and wanted to go, but never had to. Anyhow, that's my news....

Heh, not much....
I shopped online for Nate (w00t!) and arranged for some very neat items... I hope he likes what I picked out.
I made a background for my journal and tried to change my journal style - no luck. Maybe later this week or next I will give it another go.
Cleaned up misc stuff off the tables/couches/stuff so that we could change the floor plan more easily.
Took care of my sweetie who had a bad headache today.
Drove and got Jay and had dinner and came home and moved furniture (yay!! I like the new floor plan!) and got Christmas boxes down out of storage and up into the house.
Put up one Xmas decor item (tree of light).
Called the jury thing phone # as outlined in previous entry.
Updated journal.....
