My weekly update....

Spring is here and happily blooming. Tons of prettiness - most of the bulbs are at the end and will soon be gone, but the iris have just started opening up. The beds are still in bloom with pansies and gerbera daisies and miscellaneous tucked in here and there, and the roses are begging to come inside. The blood orange is blossoming and the cherry and lemon are putting out bunches of leaves. The peach still has a bit of curl to it, but there are lots of tiny baby peaches anyhow. And just other things I'm forgetting, like wysteria and violets and poppies and such.
Saturday we were up in Petaluma. Trudi is moving away to Maryland and so it was a goodbye kind of thing, but not too gloomy. Karl and Cassie rode up with us, and we got to see lots of friends/family there, as well as meet a few new people... Karl is now dating Karen, a good "sister" friend of Bob & Melanie's.... love her but will be interesting to see how things unfold. Everyone was uber sweet and squishy and nice. Yay for nice people.
Sunday was Miss Morgan's bday party, where my mom was a brat and I got to make the cakes pretty and wrap gifts. :D It was a good time, and I got a Sunday newspaper full of coupons for my latest project/phase/interest, couponing. A girl over on my parenting boards is just super insanely awesome at it and so now we are all learning how. I'm pitifully excited about it - living up to my soccor mom label all the time I guess ;)
Now I'm starving. Woke up at the bizarre hour of 5am and no more sleep for me. Hoping to tuck a nap in somewhere this afternoon (for my own good) but not sure if the body will cooperate with that plan.
Must remember to water plants - mental note.
