My new orchid is still healthy and happy. Yay! The very bottom blossom was fading so I removed it, I suppose that means the rest of them will be gone soon. It is already pushing up a new stalk though. Shannon brought me an ailing dendrobium she had, and it seems happy after being repotted from a little 4" pot full of dirty gritty rockish stuff into a nice pot of bark. It's also got new growth happening so we'll see if I get to see it flower. Yay plants!

Also picked up a cheap hanging plant at Walmart, a Bridal Veil that is just covered with buds and about to blossom. Outside, we're getting tons of "volunteers"... mostly larkspur in purple and white which is all over the place, and sunflowers (from the birds). My lobelia has also made quite a leap from the flower box and has blended beautifully with the iris bed and a couple brave little souls are in the lawn. Put in some white verbena in the flower box too, since between the flooding and the heat the lobelia was about the only thing left. Looks pretty.

The pond edging is completed and filled in with dirt... the waterfall stage is still off in the distance for now but it looks nice without it. Need to clean out the filter and fill it up later today, maybe get an updated picture. The plants have quite taken it over, I'm deciding whether to leave them as is or cut them back.

Off to my WW meeting... wish me luck!
