Yeah, they are dumb. I think maybe they are looking for gravel and trying to figure out a way to spit it upwards?? Heehee, anyway, my fish are not the only dumb ones... people in my ponding newsgroup said it's normal... I'm supposed to hang out by the pond alot and put my face close to the water so they can recognize me. Heehee, anyway, I kinda want one of the fishy highrises so they can swim up in it and be seen more. Maybe then they'll feel more at home. We'll see whether I get one or not. And don't steal retaining wall bricks, because it is wrong!
