I was harvesting from my cute little mini herb garden a few minutes ago, and my hands smell just heavenly. Yummm. Heh, will need to either eat or wash them soon...
So, from where we left off... Ended up adding into a Monday evening class which is mostly a counseling sort of thing... career development and educational planning stuff. Something I wanted to take anyway. So now my schedule is full.
Attended my Tuesday classes yesterday and my oh my. I feel really good about them. They are going to be fun *and* challenging. Lots of homework as both of them are very quick-paced, and I adore both teachers so far. English teacher is very charismatic and has a genuine passion for the subject, which not all teachers have or let show. I like his style and I like his methods. And he's missing a digit on his right ring finger which I just find fascinating in a Stephen King kind of way. My AutoCAD instructor is just lovely - very sweet and nurturing, with a sheer joy to teaching that exceeds anything I've ever seen. She just couldn't stop beaming about starting a new semester with all of us talented and eager students. And she was so wonderfully thrilled with the high number of students and the high percentage of women in the class (four of us) since it's usually such a male-dominated field. Ah! My teachers are just wonderful!
They are a little sucky in that they care about assignments more than tests, but I can live with it. I got out of class yesterday and was just filled with goodwill and sunshine... it's amazing what being back in school does for me, I just feel so *healthy* and *alive*, knowing that I am learning and growing instead of stagnating at ConCise. And I'm *good* at this stuff, especially when the teachers are so wonderful and well-matched to my style of learning.
Then I went to the bookstore which promptly killed my excessive joie de vivre. Waited in a very long line to spend more money. Yes folks, I have 8 books totalling 21 pounds for 5 classes. I don't even want to think about how many pages there are. The good news is that I was able to return some "optional" texts or I would have had 10 books. And no, you don't want to know how much it cost. Gah, textbooks are overpriced. I was able to find copies of the two books I'll need for German online used for cheaper. So I ordered them and once they arrive, I'll return the ones I've got.
Have lots I need to get done today.. homework from yesterday and stuff around the house if I can make time. So that's it kids. Love you and have a good day.
