Last minute costume idea...

I plan to be a little ogress chickie, a la Shrek. Green make up should be no problem - will have to dig to find the makeup stuff though. But I'm not sure re: the ear thingies. All in all, I think it will be really cute - if I can pull it off. I am onto the web to gather ogress piccies to work from - hmmm... has anyone seen Shrek stuff in the costume stores? I wonder if I could just pick the little ear things up.....

Oh, and the cute asian guy at my work that I'm not sure if I know from somewhere else or not? He suggested I go as Lady Godiva....

Re: ear thingies.. green felt, cleverly rolled up and stuck to your head? You could stick them on a headband and that way they'd be easy to remove.

Hmmm it is a good idea! I'm not sure... having trouble finding pics where Fiona is not still a human princess so I can see where they attach... and I still have to make foods for my potluck and Nate's potluck tomorrow night. I forgot we were having dinner with a friend tonight, so it's going to be REALLY last minute... I think I may end up with 2 dimensional ear things drawn on cardstock and stuck on a headband :) at least I'll get last-minute points.

Still need to figure out what to wear with it too. Nate thinks just wearing a regular work outfit (sweater, jeans) isn't very fitting to the persona. I could wear Ren stuff but that might be too weird. Heh - I must love doing this all at the last minute, why else would I do it this way? :) Wish me luck!

Of course there needs to be pics! But I am bad, I never take pics at the beginning for some reason, which is when I look the best! I think I will take a camera and make the coworkers take pics of me.

p.s. This guy, he works in some other dept, I'm not even sure where. He's kinda weird, like, he totally acts like he knows you/me/one and is friendly, but it's strange cuz like at first, urgh... hard to explain. But anyhow, I like him, but I think I might have met him one time before when I went to this Anime convention, plus not that many people I know like Haw Flakes, and I know he does. He's not like PATRICK asian-guy-cute, but he's still pretty cute. And friendly. Friendly makes people more attractive.

questions within questions....what are Haw Flakes?

OHhhhh um, Haw Flakes are neat. They are like, um... well they are an asian snack/candy. They come in a little roll package, and inside, it is little circle wafers... about the size of Necco wafers? but they are not CANDYish... they are from fruit... Haw fruit in fact. They taste alot like fruit roll-ups, but they have a strange texture... texture is kind of like Pringles and kind of like fish food, the flaky kind. It's strange to describe. But they're yummy, I like them!
